Waterstones
Today was the day Tom left home. Well to be strictly accurate he went off to Wolverhampton University for three years. Not a million miles away, but far enough to feel like he's gone.
Emma took him up there with all his gear, we went into town for coffee; waiting for the phone call/text to say they had arrived OK and all was well.
On our way home for lunch we popped into Waterstones as Ann had a voucher to spend. She was after the George Orwell's biography Down and Out in Paris and London, but settled for Homage to Catalonia as the former was not in stock.
Later whilst I was taking Dylan for a walk I took some photos along the cycleway and on Shottery Fields, but decided on the picture I took in the book store as today's blip.
We have subsequently heard from Tom and he seems to have settled in nicely, having been shopping in Asda with Emma for supplies for the next couple of day's tea. Tomorrow he's off to explore the city centre and find the Lighthouse Centre where the cinema is and all his lectures will be held.
