Dingle Bay

This is where you can book some of the local boat trips. The most popular trip, by far, is the short Dingle Bay tour to see Fungie. Fungie, a wild bottlenose dolphin, is a permanent resident and a major tourist attraction. He plays with small boats and escorts them in and out of the harbour. I’ve been on this boat trip in previous years and seen Fungie a number of times.  I have also stood on the cliffs and watched him perform his loops, twirls and backflips. I don’t feel that I need to do this boat tour again this year, but it is good to know that Fungie is still around.

The weather today wasn’t too bad up until about 4pm when the rain came in. It was windy on the cliffs, and cold on the beach, but walking was still enjoyable.
