High Season Wedding

We must be approaching high season as from today the local supermarkets are open on Sunday mornings. We took advantage to go down to buy some bread. In the evening we went to the Bar Golfo for a drink before dinner. We had only been there a few minutes when Martin and Gina arrived. They had just flown in from Gatwick and are staying at the Albergo Plinio. We met them last year when we were having dinner at the Plinio. Like us they are regular visitors to Lake Como, though being in a hotel their visits are of shorter duration.


On the way to the bar we passed fairly close to Lido di Lenno. This venue is sometimes used for wedding receptions and today was one of these occasions. The photograph show the bride and groom having just arrived by boat. Almost certainly the ceremony took place at the Villa Balbianello just five minutes away from here by boat.
