Gloriette - Schloss Schönbrunn

Roeddwn ni'n rhydd am hanner diwrnod ac ymwelon ni â Schloss Shönbrunn (Schönbrunn: 'fynnon prydferth') gyda ffrind sy'n byw ger Vienna. Roeddwn ni erioed wedi clywed am Schloss Shönbrunn o'r blaen er bod roedd e'n un o'r atyniadau twristiaeth mwyaf yn Vienna. Mae'r lle yn cael palas a gerddi hyfryd gyda flodau, cerfluniau a ffynhonnau. Mae'n posib ymwelon nhw am ddim. Roedd y lle yn cael ai adeiladu rhwng 1740-1750 yn ystod teyrnasiad Maria Theresa. Mae'n wych nawr er bod e'n posibl i pobl gyffredin i fwynhau'r tŷ a'r gerddi godidog.

We were free for half a day and we visited Schloss Shönbrunn (Schönbrunn: 'beautiful spring') with a friend who lives near Vienna. We had never heard of Schloss Shönbrunn before, although it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Vienna. The place has a palace and beautiful gardens, with flowers, statues and fountains. It is possible to visit them for free. The place was built between 1740-1750, during the reign of Maria Theresa. It's wonderful now that it is possible for ordinary people to enjoy the magnificent house and gardens.
