Village of the Year
Another short motorcycling holiday brought me again to Panelia, a little village in Western Finland. I've always loved the place, which has a remarkable history for such a small place. Lots of prehistorical sites and these two buildings, for example. The red one is a Dairy House built in 1908 by communal effort. The beautiful little church is a gem of Finnish National Romanticism style of architecture. Panelia has twice been chosen the Village of the Year in the Western Finland.
