Look, Archie! The Queen!
But he has eyes (and beardy kisses) only for his Elizabeth!
JR had a busy morning - a gym visit and then off to her wee 'job' cleaning a friend's Air B&B flat. But she was able to spend the afternoon relaxing in the sun in the back garden, with fresh raspberries and yoghurt (ice cream for me) listening to her audiobook. Except that our wee four year old neighbour kept coming over and chatting, emboldened by the absence of the barking Archie.
I got a few jobs done at home, including managing to print out a map on my new printer - that took a lot of fiddling. I want to mark a few dog friendly cafes for the kind folk who are coming all the way from America to look after Archie while we go off on holiday again. Actually, they are coming to visit their daughter, Anne, who is one of Archie's legion of friends. We all win!
I also rang the pet insurance folk, who informed us by letter that our policy was cancelled as per our instructions. No! Apparently somebody rang on the 6th June (we were in France) and cancelled it. A mix up at their end, apparently. All sorted.
Archie and I were watching the Trooping of the Colour and Elizabeth arrived just as the royals were coming out on to the balcony. Well, Archie completely lost interest in the pomp. The Queen? He'd rather have Elizabeth from down the road..
At last a bit of good news. Scotland beat the Wallabies this morning! Two games in a row now under their new coach. And without some of their best players, who are with the Lions tour of NZ.
