Rose petals

Last night I was at a photography workshop held at Durham cathedral  We had the cathedral to ourselves between 7 & 10pm with the lights off for much of the time and as it was a sunny evening, the natural light was really beautiful.  I haven't had time to go through my pictures yet but hope to load them to blip in the next couple of days.  

This afternoon I have been busy staining a garden bench which we bought last summer & has looks weather worn already.  It will need another coat or two but is looking much better.

This is a rose from a bouquet of flowers I was given ten days ago and is just beginning to turn.  I liked the b&w version as it highlights the texture of the petals.
