My hydrangea is subject to an heroic infestation of woolly wickedness...

I blame this on a serious lack of vigilance on my part + going away to Orkney during the heat wave which put the strawberries to death - the whole of Belgium is parched - I don't expect a decent downpour until the "Brossella" Folk & Jazz Festival in the open air amphitheatre at Heysel.

Anybody got a sensible solution? Or should I bug Pippa Greenwood of GQT (Gardener's Question Time)?
