Royal Three Counties Show...
....Gloucestershire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire.
Waking at 3.30am was not a good start to the day (eyes roll).!!
Mr C had been asked a favour and to stand in and commentate on a dog display at the show. We arrived at the ground about 8.30am. We met up with the team and they had a rehearsal for an hour or so. Then Mr C, lucy and I went for a wander before the first display at 12.30. So much to see.... sheep shearing competition, farrier competition, stalls of food, clothes and much more. Animals galore. Motorbike displays, parachute 'red arrows' style landing... oh and so much more and lots we didn't see too...... oh, and the historic caravan club were there too. Mr Cs last display was at 4pm and we left after he had finished.
We decided to have a drive over the Malvern Hills. We spotted a spring and people go and fill up their water bottles straight from the spring. One couple must have had at least ten 5 litre bottles that they were filling up!!... we had a small, empty bottle that we had just paid £2 for at the show. We filled, drank and filled some more... it was so hot we needed it!
We started back, stopping off in Upton upon Severn for a little wander. Then Lucy directed us to a lovely pub near Tewkesbury on the banks of the River Severn. Outside was very busy so we ate inside and the sun was setting as we left. I was flagging by now so it was back to Lucy's, shower, cup of tea and I flopped into bed.
Some extras (had to delete some old extras to make room :/)
P.s. Forgot to say that during our travels we also went into all 3 counties!!
