Girl with a pearl earring

Nothing new about this book, it was published in 1999 and the film came out in 2003, starring a young Scarlett Johanssen. But I am reading it again for my course on art of the Dutch Golden Age, and enjoying it even more the second time around.

It's still hot at work, and at lectures. Working in nursery means that we can throw water at each other, which is handy! Lea Anne and I braved the climbing wall for the first time in weeks. I was slick with sweat, which did not make it easy to hold on!

Back with my organising of trips, I was asked why we should park in Upton on Severn if we are on a Tewkesbury cruise. Answer: because we're going from Upton to Worcester and back, and not visiting Tewkesbury at all! Clearly I don't think my future lies in arranging excursions for the more 'confused' members of society. I need a lot more patience.
