Ceci N'est Pas Une Statue De.

The treachery of images. After switching my wardrobe to summer mode and ironing thirteen shirts, I headed to the Hyogo Prefectural Museum Of Art for the Fantastic Art In Belgium exhibition. Fantastic, indeed, with some incredible paintings by Heironymous Bosch, Peter Bruegel The Elder and Rene Magritte, among others. I was surprised at how small the Bosch paintings were; with so many intricate details I thought he would have been working on a much larger scale. Such genius. His visions are still pushing the envelope five hundred years later.
