Sirmione, Sirmione!!

or as the ferryman says, as we approach the pier, Sir-meeee-o-ni, at least half a dozen times, so no,chance of missing your stop ;-)

We revisited today, the place we stayed two years ago, it looked particularly stunning in the vivid sunlight as we rounded the peninsular that is Sirmione.

Its as popular as ever, as busy as ever, but still such a nice place to stay, better once all the daily "tours" hwve gone home though, much quieter then ;-)

We had the obligatory gelato, manfarin and chocloate for me, chocolate and boring ol vanilla for hub ( i don't like it, in case you wondered!!)

We shared a piadina with rocket mozerella and parma ham for lunch, with an aperol sprizt of course!

It was extremley hot today, 34 degrees or thereabouts, one or two of the older people were really feeling it as we queued for the ferry back to Garda.......

We have can elled our trip to Venice, as it will be just too hot to trek about, in the 40+ heat and with hubs hooves not,being up to scratch.
A trip next spring instead me thinks :-)))
