Isola del garda

Today we took a tour to Garda Island.
Our hotel hosts recommended it as something worth seeing.

Alarm set for 8am, didnt sleep brilliantly but up and at it nonetheless ;-)

Met down by the pier in the harbour......a lovely little speedboat picked up around 30 of us for this private guided tour of this family's home.

What a stunning place, well worth googling to learn more about the family. One of their daughters, Alberta, took our tour, such a pleasure and so informative and proud. Her mother was originally from Staffordshire and met their father in Rome. The island has been in their family for generations.

Their "house" as you can see is just magnificent........l took this shot as we were leaving on the speedboat, the man waving in his rather posh speedboat just happpened to be in my shot as I pressed the shutter....not sure if Im happy about that or not really :-/

We spent the afternoon lazing by thempool, very hot and humid again, 34 degrees....thank goodness for aircon back at the hotel :-)
