Findhorn Bay

Very early start this morning to drive up the A9 to Morayshire sadly for the funeral of a very dear friend. Allowing for road works , average speed cameras and the risk of accident hold ups which thankfully didn't happen we arrived in Forres with so much time to spare that we drove to one of our favourite places, Findhorn and a coffee at the Bakehouse.

Many happy holidays have been spent here and in the lovely sunshine the bay was looking beautiful with  all the little brightly coloured boats moored.

Thankfully the lovely Morayshire weather lasted while we were there but the 150 mile journey back down the A9 was a different matter - torrential rain struck and we did feel sorry for the occupants of an open top vintage car which we passed on the dual carriageway after Drumochter . They must have been soaked and frozen.

The heavy rain followed us home so no garden watering required tonight!
