Ladybird

Another early dog walk this morning (6 a.m.) - we managed an hour and I found this ladybird basking in the early sunlight on a grass stalk.

Lots of rabbits about and Finlay wanted to be off after them…

I picked 2.5 kilos of rhubarb after breakfast and spent the morning making a large vat of chutney. That should see us through until next year.

Did a bit of work in the garden..planted three new shrubs we bought last week and put some grass seed down on a bit of border we no longer want.

I was packing up my tripod to send for repairs and two small pieces of plastic dropped out of the broken leg. They appear to be spacers or shims that fit around the top of the inner tube .. so I fitted them back and re-inserted the tube and all appears to be well again…the question now is “Why did they come off in the first place?”. At least I will have it for this weekend…a little trip to Cumbria is on the cards.
