Iftar is being cooked on the banks of the Nile. The venue is a concert venue, mainly small local bands perform there. There's also a cafe and a large outdoor space.

Rowers are out enjoying the evening too.

As I got home I saw one of the lovely people in my apartment. Come and meet some family she said. I met them as they were on their way to the club to eat. I then helped my neighbour fill balady bread (like pita pockets) with rice, salad and a chunk of meat for her to hand out to the poor who sit on the kerb waiting for food. Ramadan is about ensuring the poor are remembered.
