"Don't change the order....
..of the books on my bookshelf " pleads refugee Fatimah in a wonderful, heart rending poem that inspired this tapestry of pictures by Syrian refugee girls in the Za"atari Camp in Jordan this April.
They were put together by artist Hannah Rose Thomas who was exhibiting her work done with refugees in the camp in the Scottish Parliament today.
A translation of the complete poem is my extra picture. With its images of normality it brings home like little else the heartache, the dislocation and the hope of those who have had to flee from their homes but who yearn for the domestic trivia and minutiae which we take for granted.
