The Great Birthday Bake-Off

Was surprised with a tea party for my birthday (which is on Wednesday) this afternoon. TSM did the organising, Top Gun did the preparation and The Girl Racer did the baking. The Dizzle was let off as he was climbing a mountain of homework.

Thanks to everyone for a lovely afternoon and for friends who came to visit, it was lovely; I was really touched although of course the kittens as usual stole the show. Unlike them my days of looking cute, crawling under the furniture and playing with silver balls are over.

Today was the third day of really getting back to normal healthwise and the relief is immense. God bless the steroids. A busy week ahead but will enjoy a day off on Wednesday. And it looks like the decent September weather will hang around a little bit longer...
