Thursday: Cloud 9

It was S's birthday today so we joined her and J for a meal at the 'Cloud 9' restaurant in the Empire Landmark hotel. It's a revolving restaurant and the views were amazing.

The food, and service, much less so. That said, we fully knew this as the restaurant doesn't get a single good review online. The food was very dated and the service was incredibly slow, mainly because the waiter gave everyone his full life story, including us. Why did we go, you may ask? Well,because of the views and because the building, which has been there for 40 years, is due to be torn down. And because we knew what to expect, it was very entertaining and we had a great time.
