Mushrooms
And the busy social weekend continues ...
As we we've been out picking mushrooms for the past few weekends without actually finding any edible ones, we thought we had to give it another go. Besides, the weather was gorgeous and it's always fun taking a walk in the forrest, especially for the dog. Due to all sorts of social commitments we got up early and drove out towards Altenberg, near the the Czech border. It all started with the same unsatisfying feeling of not seeing any edible mushrooms. All until we started going deeper into the parts that were difficult to get to ... and this is were we found quite a few mushrooms.
The dog was just as happy digging and running through muddy waterholes and sniffing up a half decayed foot that looked like it could've belonged to a bird of prey once upon a time. He did seem rather plesaed with himself though and started running around with it. Only when I got out the tube containing his liver paté (such a nice invention!) he thought it was ok to drop his prey.
The morning adventure was followed by lunch at the in-laws, another birthday party and a meeting with all the property owners.
Haven't looked at the laptop since Friday and it felt good.
