In the Shade

This table is a pleasant spot to sit early in the morning before the sun creeps across. The temperatures are already reaching low 30s already and it's only June! The humidity is starting too, making it more like August weather - it was 65% humidity today. Looks like it's going to be a long hot summer.

I was on tenterhooks all day today as my brother busboy texted me in the morning to say that my niece Sarah (his daughter) was in hospital and told that their baby girl would probably be born before the day was over. Every time my phone went I jumped! The call came through early evening that she'd been born, both mother and baby well and the baby was 5lb 8oz. Name to be announced. Busboy was so excited he forgot to take his phone, so no camera!
Edit: the baby's being called Hannah and a wee sister to Michael and Katie. Three lovely names!
