Harvest self portrait

The light tonight was beautiful.
The bales in the field were burnished and glowing.
There were amazing long shadows in the evening sun.
I sat for a good 15 minutes on top of a bale (not easy getting up there these days!!)
I watched a sparrowhawk take a small bird.
I watched a hare watching me (oh for a 300mm lens!!)
Could have stayed there longer but the light changed and soon it was all over.
No landscape shot tonight - just a shadow self portrait.
