a sticky solution?

I have to fit a new threshold between two rooms.  The old one kept coming loose - the tiny screws would not grip properly in the concrete sub-floor.

I’ve been promising to fix this for months.  The delay is not due to laziness (well not much - and blip takes up so much time) but more a lack of a workable solution.  I finally hit on the idea of glueing the threshold in place.  

Anniemay’s  kettle weights and a few heavy books are holding down the threshold for the next 24 hours while the adhesive cures.  Hope it works this time.
