This is the hat which gets passed around the audience.  Anniemay has counted the money and is thus able to wear it.

We always pay Sven our sound guy €100 for each gig we do - well worth it for the time and effort he spends in making us sound good - so our priority is to make enough to pay him first.  If there’s enough left over to pay for our meals and petrol, then we’re happy.  

We’re lucky that we don’t have to do this for the money - we do it for the fun of being together and playing for people who like to hear us.

Our final gig is packed out.  We eventually get away after a couple of encores and a promise to come back next year.  That is priceless.
