Back home again

This is the second blip I am posting today - last night it was so late by the time we got home that I only managed to load yesterday's photo this morning.

I took my chance today to get a photo of Adam - he returned home from university yesterday but left shortly afterwards to go to a 21st party - then returned home again this morning. He is home for a few days and then is back to university on Wednesday as he starts his summer job on Thursday - he is working as an assistant on one of the Oxbridge summer programs for 9-18 year olds for the whole month of July. We will see very little of him this summer as after that he is assisting in a 6 week lab research project. He is looking tired - to be expecting after spending the night sleeping in his car after the party - they all sleep in the marquee where the party was held or in their cars, at least it is better than a generation ago when they would drive home after drinking.

Gavin was working at the new house today finishing off the re-hanging of the doors with the double hinges, when he heard a thud - a beautiful green woodpecker flew into one of the large glass windows and unfortunately died. I was very sad about that :(

I am looking forward to an early night tonight.
