The accidental finding

By woodpeckers

Sadly I am not in Oban

...but my friend is, on holiday. I took this quick snap of the calendar pic for June to text him, to show him where to have coffee and a good view of the ferries!

By contrast, I was running a card stall on a grey windy day in Stonehouse. Mostly I was encouraging kids to take part in colouring-in activities, but we did also get on to paper chain making and drawing. Not many sales, but we did have fun. I had a moment of excitement when a lady asked me for a card for someone who was having twins. About a year ago someone asked me for a twins card, and I vowed that I must always have one in stock. So, fast forward a year.
..i.search for the twins card and find it. There is a bit of blue on it. Mainly in the sky-section.

'Ah, that's no good. She's having girls. And I want both their names on it'.

Pink for girls! I suggested she go to a card shop whose name we shall not mention. It's not even somewhere I go for a look-round.

My photos of the hotel grounds (which are lovely) were rubbish because the sky was grey, and there was always a bouncy castle in the way. However, I can't stress enough how jolly it all was, despite my lack of constant sales. Live music, fun kids, free cider, fab face-painting, laid back parents, and six cygnets down on the canal with their parents.
