Water Lilies

The wind had all but disappeared today so it was good to get out and not risk being blown over the harbour wall.

In the afternoon I made a visit to the St Andrews Botanic Gardens ... not a long visit because I just wanted to check the pond for water lilies.

There were plenty of them but there was also plenty of gigantic gunnera round the edges of the pond making access to the lilies rather difficult.  I had to set the camera on full zoom and squeeze round a rather large gunnera stem to take my photo.

I left reasonably happy but with rather muddy shoes.
