Second Flush
As I've mentioned before, this year is the first time I have fed my roses and I was stunned by the improvement in flowering over the summer. What I hadn't expected, however, was that several roses which previously produced one satisfactory flush of blooms would this year follow a wonderful summer display with a mass of buds in mid-September!
This patio rose is called 'Little Darling'. I'm hoping that, like a rambler elsewhere in the garden, the buds will have time to open and flower in the milder climate of Arran.
If you're a more expert rose-grower than I ... which wouldn't be difficult! ... please advise if this second flush has a downside.
