Sulphur Shelf Bracket Fungus

After watching the Grand Prix on TV we walked along the road to Sonning so we could walk back along the river.

On the way we spotted this fungus growing on a tree by the side of the road.

It is such a fantastic colour. Apparently it tastes like crab or lobster and it is said that it tastes good sautéed in butter or prepared in a cream sauce served on toast or rice. However I'm not confident enough in my identification skills to give it a try :-)
