Love lies Bleedin'

In Ancient Greece and in Roman times the carnation was symbolic denoting bonds of affection also health and energy not to mention fascination and love

A white carnation symbolises pure love and innocence.

A red carnation symbolises admiration and says "My heart aches for you"

So I guess white carnations with red centres denotes my love has a bleedin' heart!
