The night I partied with Jeremy's Brother

Funny what a look through an old photo album yields...

It is 1986 and I am a 25 year old party animal and yet to meet my husband. My friends and I had been out drinking and thought we would bring the party home (the pubs used to shut at 11pm). I had already bought my first house (you could pick up a 3 bed for £22k in those days) so my place was the chosen venue.

I have always taken a lot of photos and there are several of that particular evening. In the album was the photo on the right and stuck below it was the bearded chap's business card. His name is Andrew Corbyn...

I had added the following , "We met a peculiar chap this evening and he came home with us. He owns the biggest book shop in the Australian outback and his brother is the MP for Islington." 

Jeremy Corbyn is the youngest of 4 boys and was born in Chippenham which is about 15 miles away. During the recent election, he mentioned his parents used to live in Devizes. So, putting two and two together, Andrew must have been visiting his parents.

I told everyone at work today and my boss asked me if I had "got off with him"! We all had a giggle at that one! (and, no I did not!!)

The chap on the left is a 1986 image of Jeremy. They are similar!
