Fred's Leaving . . .

Well, after a long, long, wait, we're finally seeing the demolition of Fred the Water Tower. (See here to see him with Enid by his side)

The local council promised Fred would be pulled down soon after our new one (Enid) was built. Now, two years later, it looks like Fred's on his way out of Enid's (and our) life. But judging by the glacial speed the demolition's proceeding, we have a feeling that he may still be gracing the Georgetown skyline for a few more months.

In fact, at least one person I know (Jools) is convinced that the workers have a bar and pool table in the bowl at the top of the tower.

Surely not . . .
