Tall Story

In the Tory House, Chester.

Tonight saw off a handful of teachers approaching retirement in an end of year meal in the city hall of Chester. The blip is NOT, the city hall but the old (Odeon) cinema converted to an art house. A great night with great food and even greater speeches, though a little long winded..... I drove tonight and was anxious about getting back to the car before the car park closed at 11.30. Made it, luckily. The speeches went on so long that the waiters came in half way through the second-to-final speech to start collecting the cups n sauces n tea spoons. This went down like a sh!t butty as one of the senior staff members commented to the head waiter "the guy has been here for 40 years, so let him finish for God's sake!".
