Bliss at Newbliss

Jeez it was a chilly night! Woke up with a couple of kookaburras having a "laugh off" right outside the tent! Even though it was 5.30am you just cant help laughing along with them! The camp was very busy due to the fact that the "Dwellingup 100" mountain bike event was on (which we knew nothing about!) so there was lots of people getting organised for a quite long day! The "town" was heaving with people of all ages tearing about on their bikes! The weather was perfect.

Drove up to Marrinup Falls which is gorgeous (not much water though) lovely walk and gorgeous wild flowers. Also visited the remains of POW camp, also at Marrinup, which held Italian & German prisoners, very interesting. Then, can you believe it? .... we just happened to find a rather gorgeous winery with stunning views right down to the Peel Inlet. Quaffed a bottle of vino while the boys kicked about a footy, just perfect!

Home (well back to camp!) cheese and crackers, then steak & salad with some toasted turkish bread, fire lit, more vino, Marshmallows, boys in bed by 8.30 and us not far behind ..zzzzzz
