The Visitors

Zak arrived at 0745 & after much playing Steph arrived with her young ward S. Thirty minutes later J BD arrived (top right) she is good friends of Steph & C & N. Following lots of chat & laughs we ate a lunch which comprised of rice salad, bean salad, green salad & chicken. All very nice  thanks to C's hard work. After Zak went up for a snooze I took young S around the garden and showed him all the flowers that were scented. His favourite was the lavender & I gave him a sprig to take home  - we also looked for dinosaurs, but didn't find any. We did however find some bits of coal, some kind of crystal, a piece of a fossilized shell & a small piece of bone.  He thought it was probably from a TRex but I said I was sure it was from a Diplodocus  - he thought it might be too !! I told him that the coal was probably the oldest thing we had found though it was difficult to know how old the crystal actually was. He thought that coal was something to do with trains - which I guess it is to a certain extent ...steam trains anyway.

He was full of knowledge & shared it all with Steph. Apparently he was asleep less than a mile after they left here - bless the boy who is only 3.

Zak then woke full of beans & we had games in the garden & then went in the summerhouse - here he discovered my CD player which as the son of a Techy was soon playing with it trying to get it to work...

Finally soon after five o'clock N arrived to take him away - we were tired out and had a little sleep before dinner.

Its been a fun action packed day !

Fine sunny & dry

I must also say a big thank you for all of your kind comments stars & hearts for yesterday's picture of one of our Dahlias.
