The Tricycle
While Mum and I were waiting for our bus to take us to the airport to catch a flight back to Manila, a few of these vehicles drove past us. This type of public transport can accommodate 4-5 passengers, believe it or not! The sidecar seats 3 people and 1-2 people can be squeezed in at the back of the driver! As you can see on this shot though, this ingenious contraption is used to transport not only people but furnitures as well, and the drivers do it with a smile!
It's called a tricycle because it has 3 wheels, 2 on the motorcycle and 1 on the sidecar attached to it. There's a bicycle version of this vehicle that's also used for transportation in some parts of the country but the sidecar they use is of lighter make. Not the safest way to travel I know but you have to agree that it has a very clever design! :)
Another wonderful effect achieved by the use of an ND400. This was taken at 10 in the morning when the sun was very unforgiving.
