Happy 4th from Cowboy!

He was skeptical
Then the dazzling lights went on
Cowboy got pooped out

In my childhood we often packed up a picnic on the fourth and took it down to the Chagrin River where my dad had a tree nursery.....where he grew trees to later sell and plant for people.  It was rather primitive and we packed all kinds of things....being along the river was lovely and a fun place for us kids to play.  We went with aunties and cousins so it was always a special time.  Sometimes we also went to see the fireworks, but not always.  Now the fireworks terrify our pets and we try to be home at peak firework times with them.  Fireworks also stress out veterans suffering from Post traumatic stress syndrome.  I'm hoping tonight isn't too long and loud...we give the pets some natural meds and Sadie gets an extra benedryl dose to try to calm her down.
