Lovely 4th

What a great day to be outside. This photo has nothing to do with my mom, and I'm surprised this worked. I took this with my laptop this morning, where I sat on the grass reading and writing emails and watching Wilson in his kayak sprints. Longshanks watched, too.

Later LS and I went to visit my mom and had another nice outing at Cornwall Park. When we still had time before dinner, we went to Value Village for a poke about, and I noticed both sides of my mother's neck were blue. I had a momentary vision of an out-of-it  Silverado resident wrapping hands around my mom's neck and panicked, but then I realized it was just the blue from the cheap 4th of July bling she was wearing. Whew. That helped me get her back in. I said we had to wash her neck off before dinner. True!
