Guide Dog Palmer

Met this clever, handsome boy guiding his Dad round Oxburgh this morning. His name is Palmer and he lives with his Dad (and Mum) in Sheffield. It was lovely to talk to them - they are such fantastically intelligent animals who make such a difference to the lives of those who are visually impaired. Palmer's Dad has some sight but he has needed a guide dog for some time - his previous one was a black Labrador.
It was a privilege to go and fetch him some fresh water - the water in the dog bowl provided was not acceptable (other dogs had used it!) and his mum's water bottle was empty so she couldn't fill up his own bowl.
It makes me appreciate my sight - we take so much for granted.
