Hoverfly/Bee mimic

A very busy day at work, a trip to the opticians and a quick pootle around the back garden to see if I could find a blip.
Apart from the usual suspects - goldfinches, pigeons and blackbirds, there was one white butterfly, but it was too quick for me, and a few bees. I liked this bee that was just sitting on the leaf wiping it's nose. I have no idea what kind it is - just a bee I'm afraid. If you know, please do tell.
