"So Where Am I Supposed To Sit?"

This morning, we spotted a Painted Bunting (otherwise known as a flying rainbow) standing on the front edge of some old wooden chair attached to a post along side the marsh area.
I'm not even sure of the purpose of the chair, but anyway, the seat slats are missing. Nowhere to sit.

What's a bird to do?
