A candle-lit table for two

Doug and me caught the Kirkwall flyer from the village and got off at Scapa. We walked round the boundary of Kirkwall and steamed right into the Harbour Fry. Naturally we went for the 'Pensioners' Special' (not a free change of underwear and a rub down with the People's Friend). But a fish supper with peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea for £6.10. Superb value and quality.

We then went and had a few pints and bought our wives a newspaper. Each!

On a culinary note the folk featured (fae Harray) went for a double pattie supper. They walk amongst us.

The mannie a'hint really struggled with his sachet of tartare sauce.

The Ythan Fiddlers are playing in Kirkwall tonight.
