Caterpillars in Mum's garden
Back blip 3
Up early and a really good breakfast and we were back on the road by 9.15am. We went down the A249 and were surprised at how bad the driving was, really impatient drivers , not leaving enough space and breaking the speed limit. We turned off and were abit ahead of time so after seeing a sign for some Kent Cherries we made a decision to go and buy some. They look delicious.
We went to my Auntie Jeans and Uncle Alans and had tea and sausage rolls for mid morning break. Lovely to see them both.
Then to my Mum and Dads for dinner and a catch up. A lazy afternoon, abit too hot to be outside though but we did have a wonder round the garden and spotted the above Mullein moth caterpillar and more on my Mum's plants, near the wildflowers, so they were swiftly removed and put in the bushes by the chalkpit.
After some sandwiches my Brother popped in after work.
We left at about 7 and went to Queendown Warren to see if there were any butterflies about but the sun was low and there was nt much about. On to The Malta Inn and a walk along the canal. A place we used to go over 30 years ago. It had nt changed much , just a hotel next to it.
Back to the hotel to spend our £5.
Extra photos of my A Jean and U Alan and my Mum's poppies.
