Penstemon

I'm not sure which penstemon this is, but it's a lovely colour and is really coming into its own now that it's midsummer. Another great border perennial, that will keep flowering now until late autumn with very little need for maintenance. If we had room I'd grow more penstemons. I can understand why some people become obsessive collectors of them - you get so much back for very little input of effort, and each one has its own particular beauty.
