Late afternoon I was outside with the pooches getting a fresh breath of air when I captured this angle. The pups were pretty tired of being cooped-up. We were having the carpet cleaned in almost every room of this house today. The only room we did not have cleaned is the family room and it is right next to the kitchen and informal dining room which both have lovely title floors. So the dogs were not having a stupendous day.

So the whole house felt like it had been turned upside down because we had tried to clear the floors of any extra furniture or or whatever that usually sits on the floor. The carpet now looks very clean and just needs a few hours to dry.

We've gotten side-tracked and have not finished the backyard project we started early in summer. Soon it will be time to do the ground beneath the new pergola. We think we're going to use a combo of river rock and quality astro turf and have a "no maintenance" backyard; we'll see. Each time I have a landscaper person over to give me suggestions and an estimate, I get more confused. Some want to include low-voltage lighting and some want to include flowers so the yard has color. It moments it all gets a bit confusing.
