Garden Bokeh!!

Was supposed to be a blip and run...but I really struggled to get any kind of decent shot this morning!! Think I was wanting too much!! The grass detail, the tiny water droplets on the grasses, and bokeh too!! Forget it...got none initially!! :-))

Had to start over...and settled on bokeh...too windy to capture the droplets!! So here's a garden blip!! Now...I HAVE to go unpack, wash clothes, dry cloth, tidy, let the gas man in to service the boiler....and get to work!! AHHHH...back to reality!! :-))

And thankyou all for yesterday's lovely comments. You know...you really are an amazing bunch!! I don't tend to share too often at that level...I appreciate it. I kinda had some things to sort out on my holiday...and that final walk helped lay a few more things to rest. It's good to let go.... and move on...



While out yesterday on that walk, I was recalling a crazy day I spent there. I had gone on a 21 mile sponsored walk the year before with a friend...meandering through the Pentland Hills. This year we had taken her younger sister with us...I reckon we were only 13 and she was 11. It was a big organised event. About 5 miles in...her sister goes and slips off a rock and falls into a burn up to her knees!! In that moment I remember thinking...OH NO...she's soaked and she'll want to go home now...or will moan/cry the rest of the walk!! So I made a rather crazy decision, and leapt in beside her, laughing my head off...quickly followed by my friend!! I think my reckoning was....see....even crappy situations can be turned into something good/fun and it'll all turn out fine!!! Just keep a sense of humour!!!!

It turned out to be a great day!! Until we got to that lane..... Where we all stopped to eat and drink...and foolishly took off our shoes in the sun!!!! The damned things refused to go back on!!!!! We had to hobble home, luckily only the last 2-3 miles, in wet socks and plastic bags!!!!!! Even I had problems keeping a sense of humour!!! Although I do recall giggling a lot at the trouble we were going to be in for being so late....and wrecking the shoes!!!! Needless to say...we didn't get to go the next year!!!!!!!! ;-))))))) OOPS!!! LOL!!
