A beautiful sunny day so after breakfast we went for a walk down to Kelvingrove Museum. A comic Con going on so we spoke to most of the illustrators about their work and inspiration. We bought a few comics and one from  female illustrator about a girl going on Holiday to the North of Scotland. The girl in the story would rather go to Tenerife  but she soon discovers lots of wildlife and changes her mind. A great back to read to the Brownies, I've a few ideas in mind :)
We then went to see the Frank Quitely , The art of comics exhibition. Frank Quitely ( Vincent Deighan) is a 'world renowned artist in hot demand' He's synonymous with iconic characters such as Superman,Batman and the x-men. A really interesting display of his work, so much detail in his illustrations.
We listened to the organ recital, had a look at the work of Mackintosh before getting a train to Inverness. A taxi home rather than waiting two hours for a bus and then straight back out to Cromarty for Pizza and a look at HMS Elizabeth, the new aircraft carrier ship, the largest warship ever built in the UK, that was moored at Invergordon. Very tight security with no waiting signs along all the roads and a police boat.
