Between the Clock and the Bed and the Tattooed Man

Terrific exhibit at SFMOMA of Munch's later works. Whlie the subject matter and the palette are often dark, the real interest for me is the paint itself--yummy marks and thick brushwork, gorgeous blends of colors in the backgounds.

We are still celebrating Mr S's birthday. And when it comes to Mr S, the extra shows that two are indeed better than one. You have to look carefully at the bottom of the image, to the right of the banner.
