What?
Tiny Tuesday.
A close up of something I use almost every day.
A bit of colour added for effect.
We enjoyed the wine club meeting last night. Nice to catch up with friends we hadn't seen for a couple of months.
The food, which was salmon in a lovely chive sauce, was very tasty, and my Treacle sponge was as light as a feather. Mr C chose cheese and biscuits. Three tasty cheeses, one of which was a cheddar with chilli.
Very strong! I had a tiny taste which was enough!
The wines however weren't as good.
The whites were Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay.
The reds were Pinot noir, Merlot, and Syrah.
All expensive, and nothing special. Certainly not after having three weeks drinking French wines at a fraction of the price.
The presenter was very boring, which didn't help.
A very uninspiring slide show of New Zealand too.
He also couldn't quite explain why the same wines cost even more in New Zealand! Seemed strange to me.
Have now spent today sorting out the finances, and making everything balance.
As I was a way for last months tasting our chairman took all the money, and paid the bills.
Unfortunately he seems to think 2 and 2 make 5, and that the pence don't matter! Plus one blank stub in the cheque book.
Just glad he is chairman and not treasurer!
