A graduate partnership

In a hall full of graduates in Newcastle this afternoon my friend Katherina took to the stage to pick up a Masters degree (with distinction) in Social Work, as did lyndseyj's sister, who was awarded her PhD. How bizarre that the only two new graduates that I knew at the ceremony ended up paired together in the final procession!

We've had a lovely day celebrating Katherina's hard work and well-earned success - first in Newcastle and then this evening at Le Bouchon restaurant in Hexham.

Exercise today: walking (14,206 steps).
